#4 The Miz is kicked out of the locker room for eating chicken over a referee's bag

Around 15 years ago, when The Miz hadn't yet established himself in WWE, he once made a mistake that ended up annoying Chris Benoit, who was an already-established veteran at that point. Jim Ross revealed the incident on his podcast last year, while chatting with Conrad Thompson.

According to Ross, The Miz was enjoying some chicken, with a referee's bag placed underneath. Benoit wasn't happy with it, and kicked The Miz out of the locker room.

"Kicked him out, threw his bag out behind him. Chris Benoit policed his territory. Benoit represented the business as best he knew at the time, but he didn't take it to the next step and put the Crossface on The Miz or beat the sh** out of him. If he beat the sh** out of him, none of the talents would've said anything, but nobody deserves to be physically assaulted at the workplace."

The Miz went on to earn back the respect that he had lost in WWE

The Miz kept grinding on a weekly basis, and soon became a mainstay on the roster. WWE utilized him well as a strong mid-carder, and by the time 2011 came around, he was being featured in main event matches, as the WWE Champion. The Miz defeated John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 27 to retain the coveted belt, in what is hands down the biggest achievement of his WWE career.
