#4 Edge wins the first-ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Edge following his historic MITB win

At WrestleMania 21, Edge competed in the historic first-ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match involving five other WWE superstars in the form of Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Kane, Shelton Benjamin, and Christian.

The conclusion to the match saw Benoit and Kane fighting out among themselves to grab the briefcase and as the former tried to unhook the case, Edge took advantage and struck him with a steel chair and climbed the ladder and unhooked the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Despite all the memorable matches that occurred throughout the match, the ending is certainly what the bout will forever be remembered for, as we witnessed Edge make history in the most dramatic way possible.

At New Year's Revolution, The Rated-R Superstar dramatically cashed in his MITB briefcase on John Cena and as it turned out, a successful title defense inside the Elimination Chamber wasn't his only match of the night. After a bloody performance inside the chamber, WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon announced that Edge was cashing in his MITB.

The challenger certainly didn't waste any time, as he hit two quick spears on Cena and pinned him to win the WWE Championship. This was Edge's first WWE Title win and what a way for The Rated-R Superstar to do so!
