Though the WWE's Women's division is one of the best things about the company in 2019, there was a time when the females weren't treated so well. In 2011, the Divas division was little more than an afterthought to many fans, with jokes online of the short matches between Divas being "bathroom breaks."

Though the company didn't do too much for the storylines for women at the time, one major story was the Divas of Doom. On the August 1st, 2011 edition of RAW, Beth Phoenix won a Battle Royal to become the number one contender for the Divas title and showed she meant business by turning on the champion Kelly Kelly. Claiming that the era of the barbie dolls was over, Beth's words were echoed days later by Natalya, who turned heel herself on SmackDown, to form the Divas of Doom.

With the Canadian by her side, Beth quickly captured the Divas Championship, and had several entertaining matches as champion, with her Survivor Series 2011 match against Eve being worth a watch. Though she would turn face again in 2012, the Glamazon proved it was good to be bad in the Divas of Doom.
