It takes pro-wrestlers years and years of hard work before they reach the global stage. Most professional wrestlers peak by the age of 40. WWE is flooded with the talent of all ages. On one hand, there are wrestlers like Triple H and Chris Jericho who are both 45+ and still going strong, whereas NXT Superstars like Tyler Bate and Velveteen Dream are in their early 20s, but have already made a mark in the wrestling industry.

We have always heard "age is just a number". Some of the wrestlers in WWE have proved it, and have defied the old adage that talent comes with experience.

Here are five best WWE wrestlers under the age of 30.

Honorable Mentions:

Ricochet (29) - The hottest free agent has finally arrived in WWE. The fans are eagerly waiting for some high-flying action from one of the best wrestlers in the world.

Cedric Alexander (28) - He has impressed everyone with his wrestling skills. He will fight Mustafa Ali for the Cruiserweight Championship at WrestleMania 34.

Alexa Bliss (26) - The current Raw Women's Champion is one of the best performers of the Women's division. She is arguably the best mic worker and a perfect heel.

Jason Jordan (29) - Currently sidelined due to injury, he is an amazing in-ring technician. The WWE Universe will be anticipating the return of a repackaged Jason Jordan.

Velveteen Dream (22) - The most unique and spooky character of 2017, Velveteen is a star in NXT. His rivalry with Aleister Black was a high-point of the year.

Tyler Bate (20) - The first WWE United Kingdon Champion is incredibly talented, and one can only imagine how good he'll be in a few years

#5 Bayley (28)

The Hugger, Bayley
The Hugger, Bayley

Bayley was the face of NXT. A highly relatable character with a never give up attitude, her journey in NXT inspired many young fans of the product and it showed her potential as a huge babyface star. She won the NXT Women's Championship at Takeover: Brooklyn in a highly even contest which was awarded Match of the Year.

Bayley won the Raw Women's Championship in February last year and went on to retain the title at WrestleMania 33. After dropping the title to Alexa Bliss, her main roster run became a little too bland. Her feuds with Bliss and Sasha Banks have been noteworthy, but have still not given her the recognition she deserves.

Bayley is one of the most skilled women wrestlers in the world. She is a pure babyface, a perfect underdog, and a tremendous seller. Her journey was a coming of age story, and she has never disappointed in the ring. She has everything that is required to be the face of the company and with her undeniable likable personality, the Hugger is sure to have a great career ahead in WWE.

#4 Adam Cole (28)

The leader of the Undisputed Era, Adam Cole
The leader of the Undisputed Era, Adam Cole

Adam Cole was already a huge name outside of WWE. Cole is the only three-time ROH World Champion in the company's history at the age of 27. He made his WWE debut in August last year as one-third of the stable, The Undisputed Era, alongside Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly.

Cole is a great in-ring performer and an amazing mic worker. One of the most over guys in NXT, Cole is a huge crowd attraction. He is the current NXT Tag Team Champion as a part of the stable.

The leader of the Undisputed Era has star power written all over him. His main-roster debut is highly anticipated, and we might see him on the Raw after WrestleMania. That will definitely be great, "bay bay".

#3 Andrade 'Cien' Almas (28)

Almas had
The NXT Champion, Andrade 'Cien' Almas

Andrade 'Cien' Almas had achieved success in CMLL and New Japan at a young age even before signing with WWE. Almas debuted in NXT in 2016 but was a hidden gem until the second half of 2017. He had various storylines with No Way Jose and Cedric Alexander, but none of them put Almas in the spotlight.

Almas rose to popularity when he defeated Drew McIntyre and won the NXT Champion. He retained the title twice against Johnny Gargano, with their match at TakeOver: Philadelphia being the best in NXT history, and earning five stars from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Almas has become a highly acclaimed heel Champion and with Zelina Vega as his manager, his inability to converse in English is no more a hindrance. His unmatched in-ring skills have made him worthy of the name 'El Idolo.'

#2 Sasha Banks (26)

The Boss, Sasha Banks
The Legit Boss, Sasha Banks

A four-time Women's Champion, Sasha Banks is possibly the best female performer in WWE today. She is an extraordinarily young wrestler who is not afraid to take high risks and bumps. The Boss has perfected the art of portraying the heel character.

She is a huge face for the women’s wrestling movement, considering her popularity. Banks was a huge fan-favorite since her time in NXT. She has put an endless series of amazing matches against the likes Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Bayley.

At just 26, Banks is already a highly accomplished wrestler. One of the most consistent performers for years now, she has made a mark in WWE at a very young age. If she wrestles for another 5-10 years, she may go down as the best woman wrestler in history.

#1 Pete Dunne (24)

Poo
The Bruiserweight, Pete Dunne

Pete Dunne was the impressive performer in WWE's United Kingdom Championship Tournament. He did lose the finals to Tyler Bate, but had already become a standout star. His matches with Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, and Mark Andrews stood out as some of the best that the company has produced in 2017.

Dunne defeated Bate at TakeOver: Chicago to win the United Kingdom Championship for the first time in a highly-acclaimed match, which later earned the NXT Year-End Award for 'Match of the Year'.

The Bruiserweight is one of the most technically gifted wrestlers on the planet today. His persona is oddly terrifying, and his gimmick has earned him the level of prominence that seemed unthinkable a year ago. With age on his side, he is surely a future Superstar in WWE.
