#3. Kofi Kingston's WWE title reign needs to be legitimised
As mentioned, Kofi Kingston's WWE title reign has been far better than what most people expected. Sure, there have been the usual complainers who find a problem with practically everything, but as a whole, fans have very little to complain about it.
Despite the fact that Kingston has defended the title against the likes of Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, Dolph Ziggler, etc. he still needs that one defining win to legitimise his reign as WWE Champion and cement it as one of the best babyface reigns in a while (Daniel Bryan's heel run with the title was fantastic).
Having a win over Randy Orton in a big stage at SummerSlam will undoubtedly legitimise his title reign and make it one that will be remembered for years to come. WWE wants to focus on Kingston now and that's who they need to build.
