Kofi Kingston would be great against Bobby Lashley in a title feud
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley successfully defended his title against Drew McIntyre in a brutal main event of Hell in a Cell 2021. Barring the finish, it was a brilliant match that witnessed the two dominant superstars going to war.
Thus, the creative now have the opportunity to bring other deserving superstars into the WWE Championship picture. McIntyre defeated Kofi Kingston to become the #1 contender, and the New Day member might be the next superstar who will challenge Lashley for the title.
Kingston was brilliant in his recent matches on WWE RAW and now deserves a shot at the world title. Interestingly, MVP has taken a particular interest in Kofi Kingston over the last few weeks. He often taunts the former world champion about how he never got to reclaim the title.
Lashley and Kingston have crossed paths on WWE RAW in the past. We have seen them deliver good matches and a title feud featuring two contrasting superstars looks very promising on paper.
Lashley should be involved in championship rivalries with different types of challengers to leave room for surprises. He needs to conquer more exciting milestones in his first-ever WWE Championship reign.
MVP has subtly implied that Kingston is being held back by the New Day, whereas the latter disagrees. If he feuds with Lashley, it will allow Kingston and MVP to interact more often. It would be entertaining to see if a humble Kofi Kingston can withstand a very persuasive MVP.
