Daniel Bryan
Many among the WWE Universe remember the 2014 Royal Rumble match, which didn't feature Daniel Bryan. He was white-hot at the time and the fans were beyond angry when the last entrant was revealed as Rey Mysterio. This was one of those incredibly rare occasions when Mysterio got booed out of the building. Bryan entered the match in 2015 and was eliminated by Bray Wyatt. His elimination was met with stunned silence from the fans inside the arena, and they booed the remainder of the match till the very end.

Daniel Bryan's absence in the 2014 Royal Rumble match angered fans to no end
Batista was the victor that night, and he was heavily booed by the fans. Bryan did well for himself when it came to being a main event player though, as he headlined and won the main event of WrestleMania XXX in 2014. Bryan is now a dad and would understandably want to spend as much time as he wants with his family, so it won't be a stretch to assume that he could finish off his career without a Royal Rumble win.

He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback.
