Many NXT talents have been called up to the main roster in the past five years. While some have gotten extremely successful on the main roster, others are hoping for a time machine to return back to their NXT days.

Along with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, Ambrose was also called up from NXT to the main roster as The Shield. The trio rose to fame with feuds with some of the best wrestlers and factions on both Raw and SmackDown.

Similarly, WWE relies on the stars that are already established to give significant pushes to the new call-ups. Andrade is one man who recently received a push thanks to Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, and Rusev, while Mustafa Ali from 205 Live has been pushed sky high thanks to Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles.

With many NXT wrestlers scheduled to move to the main roster, WWE would have been relying on stars like Ambrose to help them learn and also get a push. With Ambrose making his exit from the company clear, WWE will soon have to look at other established superstars to pull off double duty.
