The Undertaker and Vince McMahon in a backstage area
In 2003, The Undertaker engaged in a heated feud with Vince McMahon, with the WWE Chairman using Brock Lesnar and Big Show's services to take down The Deadman. On an episode of SmackDown, The Undertaker took on Brock Lesnar and Big Show in a Handicap match. He confronted Vince before the match and made it clear that he would get the beating of his life if the result of the match ended up being anything other than The Deadman coming out victorious.
Vince seemed intimidated by this threat, but soon regained his composure. In the end, The Undertaker won the match but received a brutal beatdown at the hands of the two behemoths. Vince approached the fallen victor and berated him on the entranceway. At that moment, The Undertaker revealed that he would be facing Vince McMahon at Survivor Series, in a "Buried Alive" match. The camera panned to a stupefied Vince, as the show came to an end. The eventual match would see Vince burying The Undertaker alive, after some help from Kane.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
