What if WWE uses Extreme Rules to move away from The Fiend character?

The Fiend character hasn't been seen or heard from after defeating John Cena at WrestleMania 36, which leaves an appearance at Extreme Rules very much up in the air. Furthermore, it also raises the question of why WWE would ever think of not bringing back their most popular recent creation at the upcoming pay per view.

Come on! This is The Fiend we're talking about here. The character that took the WWE Universe by storm last year at SummerSlam and would be perfect for a pay per view like Extreme Rules. Of course none of this means that the cult character of Bray Wyatt isn't a welcome addition to his twisted world, but where is the main attraction?

Perhaps WWE is starting to view The Fiend as an attraction that is similar to Demon King Finn Balor. Unfortunately for fans, that likely means he will only be trotted out on special occasions and won't be seen or heard from at Extreme Rules.
