Goldberg's WWE run in 2003-04 was mostly him feuding with Triple H and Evolution. The former WCW World Champion had a bunch of outings with Ric Flair on WWE TV at the time. In August 2003, Goldberg defeated Ric Flair on back-to-back episodes of Monday Night RAW, with the first one being a DQ victory. Goldberg and Ric Flair never had a singles match again, but they did face off in a series of multi-man matches. Goldberg teamed up with Shawn Michaels on various occasions against Flair and other members of Evolution.

Ric Flair and Goldberg were miles apart when it came to physical attributes
Ric Flair is possibly the greatest wrestler this industry has ever seen. He is a 16-time World Champion and is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer. Flair has wrestled the best, and he has beaten the best across various companies. Unfortunately, when it came to Goldberg, Flair always fell short. In 2003, Goldberg was still an impressive powerhouse, while age had started catching up with Flair, who had always been a mid-sized Superstar. A match between the two in their primes would have been something special and would have easily headlined a major pay-per-view.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
