A heel Randy Orton deserves to have the gold

In what could probably be one of the most fantastic characters on television, Randy Orton's heel run deserves more than just a mid-card slot.

The Apex Predator had been stagnant in the entire 2017 and his WWE Championship feud against Jinder Mahal diminished his entire credibility as a babyface champion.

Since the Viper has changed his mannerisms, this could be the start of something sensational on the blue brand, with A.J. Styles as the next victim.

Considering that the creative team has never booked a feud between these two performers, clashing against each other for the WWE Championship would bring more edgy television to the main-event spot.

While Samoa Joe has worked well as a heel, Orton could also follow a similar spot and make his rivalry with A.J. Styles into a personal and more violent one.
