Rey Mysterio defeated the King of Strong Style on SmackDown 1000 to seal his place in the World Cup but a United States Championship Match at Crown Jewel seemed a better option. Though WWE have announced the match for WWE Starrcade but Crown Jewel needs some title defenses to fill the PPV time.

Nakamura vs Mysterio would draw more attention towards this event and WWE can also swerve the fans by letting Rey win the title. The fans would love to see the Mexican superstar compete and dethrone the President of Nak-America as the champion, considering the underwhelming way WWE Creative have booked Nakamura’s championship reign.
With just 4 matches announced so far for a possible 4-hour event the WWE have possibly booked themselves into a corner by not having the aforementioned matches on the card.
