5 bold predictions for SmackDown Live

The B
The Blue Brand will look forward to making a statement

The blue brand, SmackDown Live heads to the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California and WWE would look forward to producing an entertaining show. Several superstars are advertised for the show and, it seems likely that the company will put their whole emphasis on promoting their next pay-per-view, FastLane.

WWE has announced 3 matches for the show as of now with Dolph Ziggler Vs Baron Corbin being the most prominent match on the card. Let's look at what awaits us tonight on SmackDown Live.

#1 Charlotte will continue to gain momentum

The
The Queen will reign supreme

Charlotte will head to the Rabobank Arena to defend her prestige and will continue to gain momentum when she squares off against Sarah Logan of 'the Riott Squad'. It is likely that the company is going to book this feud for Fastlane with 'the Queen' defending her SmackDown Women's Championship against Ruby Riott.

Charlotte has been clear in her quest to take down all the members of the popular faction and will look to make Sarah submit by the Figure Eight. There's no denying that WWE is lacking proper booking on the Women's division and from a creative standpoint, it is likely that 'the Queen' will find a way to win this match despite the odds being against her favor.

#2 The New Day Vs Gable and Benjamin could end in a controversial fashion

This c
This could be the match of the night

There's no doubting that both the teams are supremely talented and can produce a solid entertaining match inside the squared circle. The duo of Gable and Benjamin are on a quest to wipe out fun and frolic from the tag team division by focusing more on wrestling. They had a solid win against the Ascensions last week and the team is beginning to produce results on a weekly basis.

The New Day, on the other hand, are the longest reigning tag team champions in history and will head to California for some action. There's a reason why this match has been booked considering both the teams would not challenge the Usos at Fastlane but, there could be a way that this match ends tonight in controversial fashion. The company is always high on 50-50 booking and that can come to full display tonight with Gable and Benjamin getting a fluke victory in order to set a colossal match at Fastlane.

#3 The Viper could confront Bobby Roode tonight

The Glori
The Glorious One will hold another Open Challenge tonight

WWE has done a good job by putting the title on Bobby Roode and the man has presented the championship with honor on a weekly basis. 'The Glorious One' is scheduled to issue the United States Open Challenge tonight on SmackDown Live tonight and judging by the response that vicious RKO got last week, it seems ideal that a certain Viper could strike his way into this match.

This feud seems like the way to go considering Randy is roaming directionless since his WWE title reign and a possible confrontation with the U.S. Champion could solidify the mid-card division with some star power. Both the superstars could carry a solid match but, don't be surprised if the company suffices us all with a confrontation amalgamated with an RKO Outta Nowhere.

#4 Dolph Ziggler will beat Baron Corbin in a sensational match

The
The Show Off will return with a bang

These two superstars will go head-to-head tonight with a WWE Championship opportunity on the line at Fastlane. Either way, the match will be a solid bout and could be the main event of the show tonight with both superstars tearing each other apart to grab an opportunity at the WWE title. It makes no sense for WWE to screw Dolph again and make him lose so early after signing a new contract.

Therefore, it seems likely that the 'Show Off' will return to action with a bang and score a monumental win over 'the Lone Wolf' to secure his place in the Fatal-4-way match. There could be a possibility that someone like Baron Corbin might face Shinsuke Nakamura at the event considering that the former is roaming completely directionless. Expect 10-12 minutes of solid action culminating with a W in the column of the returning Dolph Ziggler.

#5 Tensions will continue to grow

Ther
There will be some controversial segments

The company has done a great job in creatively booking two solid storylines between Sami-Kevin and Bryan-McMahon on the blue brand lately. It seems likely that these two storylines will still remain to be the focal point of the show and, there could be a segment booked between these four superstars arguing with each other tonight on SmackDown Live.

It is highly unlikely that WWE will pull the trigger on Sami and Kevin so soon and will continue to tease their break-up before Fastlane. Bryan and Shane will also look forward to throwing shots at each other's leadership and, it is possible that the SmackDown Live Commissioner books Sami and Kevin in some strong matches tonight against someone like Styles or Nakamura.
