5 bold predictions for WWE Fastlane 2018

<p>
The Road to WrestleMania will go through a Fastlane

The final stop on the Road to WrestleMania will go through Fastlane which is scheduled to take place on March 11, 2018, at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Several superstars are advertised for the event and the company will try everything in its power to deliver a solid show for the fans before WrestleMania. While we all know that Shinsuke Nakamura has earned the right to face the WWE Champion at the 'Show of Shows', there still are a lot of feuds that will unfold at the event.

Here are 5 bold predictions for WWE Fastlane 2018

#5 The Usos will retain the gold in a controversial fashion

<p>
They are ruling the tag division

Well, the Usos are carrying the SmackDown tag team division on their shoulders at the moment and are constantly elevating their stock on a weekly basis. They are likely to defend their championships against the Bludgeon Brothers considering they had a showdown this week and also because there is no legitimate threat to the gold except the New Day.

Expect this match to be a solid 15-20 minutes of entertaining action with the Usos retaining their tag belts in controversial fashion. The Bludgeon Brothers have been booked dominantly and might be a legitimate threat to the champions but, a proper build could see them rule the tag team division in the future. At Fastlane 2018, the Usos will still find a way to reign supreme and will head to WrestleMania as the SmackDown tag team Champions.

#4 Bobby Roode's glorious reign could reach the doorsteps of ViperVille

Would it be a Glorious feud?

The potential of Bobby Roode as U.S. Champion is indeed glorious and the man is trying his best to make the championship look special. He is scheduled to defend his title at the PPV and might face another challenger in Rusev or Jinder Mahal but Randy's inclusion in this feud has brought much-needed star power to the mid-card division.

It's highly unlikely that WWE would waste this feud so early by booking it at Fastlane and we might definitely see Bobby defending the title against someone else, other than Randy in order to plant the seeds for a blockbuster confrontation at 'The Grandest Stage of Them All'. It is ideal for both the superstars to be involved in a feud against each other and would be best for business.

#3 Charlotte will remain the undisputed Queen of SmackDown

<p>
The Queen will head to New Orleans with her crown

There's nobody in the SmackDown Live Women's Division that could replace the Queen, Charlotte at this moment. She has ruled the blue brand ever since her arrival and, has constantly displayed her versatility between the ropes. Ruby Riott is likely going to head into a feud with Charlotte at Fastlane and while the match could be a solid entertaining bout, it will still end with 'The Queen' retaining her crown.

The Women's division on SmackDown definitely needs a huge upgrade and, Charlotte also deserves a legitimate challenger for her title at 'The Grandest Stage of Them All'. Expect someone like Becky Lynch or Naomi to answer as the challenger considering they could carry a solid match with her but as far as Fastlane is concerned, it would be a clean sweep for Charlotte.

#2 Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will brawl till the end of time

This break-up needs a bigger platform

WWE have planted the seeds of an eventual break-up between the best-friends and it is highly likely that they will pull the trigger on them at Fastlane in the main event. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have been at the top of their game recently on the blue brand and, have shared a great time ruling SmackDown by constantly being the highlight of the show but, all good things come to an end.

They have started to get into each other's skin and it seems like that Fastlane will be the place where it all goes down. Both the superstars will try everything in their power to win the WWE Championship and, the urge for reaching the top could break out a massive brawl that will culminate at 'The Grandest Stage of Them All'. It would be a privilege to see these two talented men fight each other and steal the show at WrestleMania.

#1 A.J. Styles will close the show with a blockbuster confrontation

Could this be the final picture?

The WWE Championship match is set in stone and will be contested between A.J. Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura in New Orleans. It is a dream match for all the wrestling fans around the world who live and breathe this business and understand the technicalities of wrestling. It is a definite possibility that 'The Phenomenal One' will retain his championship and, could have a blockbuster confrontation with 'The King of Strong Style' to end the show.

The company must make this feud personal by creating some animosity between the two veterans in order to produce some classic storytelling at WrestleMania. Either way, the fans are in for a treat. They have been waiting for this match to happen since Nakamura's arrival and since it is taking shape, it's necessary that the company does not screw it up by not being creatively enthusiastic about the feud.
