There was a time when Randy Orton and Edge wrestled on the same side as a bunch of dastardly heels in WWE. While Orton is still a despicable heel, Edge has assumed the role of a babyface legend.

Perhaps the one thing that can bring them together is a bigger evil in WWE, and in this case, that evil would mean The Fiend.

Rumors were circling around which stated that a WrestleMania program between Edge and The Fiend was discussed backstage, to some extent. Whenever Edge comes back, it is quite likely that he may challenge Randy Orton to a rubber match at the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania.

Further: source states the initial idea came up as names were thrown around as possible opponents for a Wyatt & Bliss team at Mania. Edge & Beth Phoenix were mentioned. Source states both matches are “unlikely”. Orton vs Edge remains the plan as of now.

But now that Randy Orton's feud with The Fiend has been established, it's quite likely that Edge may have to face The Fiend's wrath before getting a chance to wrestle Randy Orton.

The key point here is that The Fiend could change Edge's personality in the long run, which would mean that the Rated-R Superstar could revert to his heelish tendencies and team up with Randy Orton under the Rated-RKO label once again.

WWE's tag team division would benefit a lot from this potential booking decision.
