Just like Bray Wyatt's feud with John Cena, his WWE rivalry with Randy Orton is also rooted in the past.

Wyatt and Orton's House of Horrors match was a horrifying experience for many WWE fans for all the wrong reasons, but several developments have occurred since then. The Boneyard Match kickstarted a new wave of cinematic matches in WWE, and more often than not, WWE has upscaled their production in these types of matches to deliver a more refined product during the pandemic.

Moreover, The Fiend is a more intimidating character than Bray Wyatt ever was at the time of the House of Horrors match. In Wyatt and Orton's potential cinematic match, The Viper could relive his past from being a part of Legacy and Evolution to portraying The Legend Killer. Viewers may get to see Orton's biggest fears as well, which is something Wyatt did with Cena at WrestleMania 36.

Since Randy Orton was the one who burned down the soul of Sister Abigail, a cinematic match would also allow WWE to explore Sister Abigail's lore, which is something that fans passionately discuss even to this day.
