Aleister Black is called up to the Blue brand to make up for the massive lack of faces. The number of upper-level heels on Smackdown right now is remarkable. There need to be people for the likes of Almas, Nakamura and the rest to feud with. AJ Styles is still the WWE Champion after winning an intense Hell in a Cell match at the event with the same name.

His next challenger is Randy Orton, who faces the Phenomenal One at the 1000th episode of Smackdown in October, as well as at the TLC pay-per-view in December. Both matches are excellent, showcasing the best of both Styles and Orton.

Meanwhile, The Miz is gloating about running Daniel Bryan out of WWE every week and has mini-feuds with the likes of Rusev and The New Day. He wins a multi-man match on Smackdown to become the number one contender for AJ’s championship.

The two face off on the undercard of the Royal Rumble and have a great 15-20 minute match. AJ, who has been unstoppable as WWE Champion, falls to the same trick The Miz used at Summerslam to beat Bryan. The Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale, pins Styles in the middle of the ring and wins the WWE Championship!

He has just ended the longest WWE (Not Universal) Championship reign in modern WWE. After eight long years, The Miz is finally WWE Champion again. And this time he is more than ready for it. After this monumental title change, I think you know what comes next.
