Even though WWE's audience is comprised of more hardcore fans than ever before, celebrities still remain an inextricable part of WrestleMania.

After all, it wasn't for the exposure that they gained from working with Mr T and Mike Tyson, Hulk Hogan and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin probably wouldn't have become two of the biggest stars in wrestling history.

Even if they don't always leave a lasting impact, a culturally relevant celebrity, such as Donald Trump at WrestleMania 23, usually leads to a spike in business. So, with that being said, here are five celebrities who could appear at WrestleMania 34.

#1 Dana White

Dana White has recently been mentioned on WWE television because of his attempts to woo Brock Lesnar, but he also happens to be good friends with Ronda Rousey.

Now that the UFC appears to have a good relationship with Vince McMahon, it isn't inconceivable that the president of the Las Vegas-based promotion could make an appearance to support Rousey.

Even if he isn't involved in an angle, White could make a cameo at WrestleMania and possibly even find himself in a backstage segment.

#2 The New Orleans Saints

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome is the home of the New Orleans Saints — the city's most beloved sports team. And considering WWE's love for having local celebrities appear on their biggest shows, it's quite likely that the 2017 NFC South Champions will be in attendance at WrestleMania.

Even though the entire squad won't turn up, expect some of the Saints' biggest stars such as iconic quarterback Drew Brees and running back A to make an appearance at the Show of Shows.

#3 Bill Simmons

During his tenure with ESPN, Bill Simmons emerged as one of the most popular commentators in the world of sports and even made an appearance on Monday Night Raw during the build-up to WrestleMania 31.

A long-time professional wrestling fan, he even collaborated with HBO Sports and WWE films to produce a documentary celebrating the life of Andre the Giant.

Since Simmons appears to have a good working relationship with WWE, there is a chance that he could make an appearance at WrestleMania.

#4 Rob Gronkowski

After the New England Patriots' Superbowl loss at the hands of the mighty Philadelphia Eagles, star tight end Rob Gronkowski stated that he was considering retirement from the NFL.

This immediately led to a number of dirt sheets suggesting that WWE would be interested in signing Gronkowski if the 28-year-old decided to hang up his cleats.

Two months after the Superbowl, it appears that Gronkowski will return to the Patriots for the 2018-19 season and will not pursue a career in professional wrestling at any point in the near future. However, that doesn't preclude him from making another one-shot appearance at WrestleMania.

Gronkowski recently had a jocular exchange with Jinder Mahal on Twitter. Perhaps he could interfere in the United States Championship match and foil the Modern Day Maharaja one more time.

#5 Freddie Prinze Jr

Most people will know Freddie Prinze Jr for his roles on feature films as I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scooby-Doo, but he also had two stints as a member of WWE's creative team.

Unlike most writers hired by WWE, Prinze managed to grasp the intricacies of professional wrestling. He was, most notably, an integral part of Jeff Hardy's second run with WWE which turned out to be very successful for the North Carolina native and even yielded three world title wins.
