NFL great Lawrence Taylor participated in a shoving match with Bam Bam Bigelow at the 1995 Royal Rumble. This would lead to a match between the two at WrestleMania, not just a match in fact, but the main event.

And that alone is reason enough for Taylor to be inducted. Although most fans agree today that this match should have never been the main event, Taylor still gave a strong performance for a celebrity, probably the best one-on-one performance a celebrity has ever given.
