#4 Jinder Mahal - WWE United States Champion

The Maharaja Mackdaddy shocked the WWE Universe when he defeated Randy Orton at Backlash 2017. His reign saw him defeat Orton several times, as well as the King of Strong Style Shinsuke Nakamura.
Jinder Mahal's reign itself wasn't that memorable and the only reason that people look back on it today was that the WWE Championship was won by a man who, until that month, was jobbing on a weekly basis. When he lost the title later that year, it was unknown what WWE had in store for him.
Turns out, they were ready to set him up with a nice cushy position in the mid-card. Mahal found himself feuding with Bobby Roode, Rusev, and his old rival Randy Orton for the United States Championship. At WrestleMania 34, he defeated all three men in a Fatal-4-Way match to capture the title.
As forgettable as that match was, fans wouldn't be blamed for forgetting that he'd won it at the Show of Shows, as he lost the title to Jeff Hardy a mere eight days later just as he was drafted to RAW.
Since then, Jinder Mahal has been plagued with injuries. After returning to RAW earlier this year following a knee injury, it was revealed he'd gone under the knife to repair some issues, putting him back on the shelf once again.
