#3 WWE 24/7 Champion Shelton Benjamin

Shelton Benjamin began his wrestling career whilst he was in college, where he met Brock Lesnar. The two men have been best friends ever since and reports suggest that it was actually Lesnar that helped Benjamin to be signed by WWE back in 2000.

Benjamin went on to become a star on Monday Night RAW alongside Charlie Haas as The World's Greatest Tag Team. He later had a successful spell as a singles star where he won numerous Championships that inspired the name The Gold Standard.

Benjamin was released from his WWE contract in 2010 but was then contracted by the company following the WWE Draft back in 2016 and was re-signed. Sadly, Benjamin tore his rotator cuff, which meant that he was unable to return to the company until the summer of 2017.

Benjamin has had a career that has spanned two decades and numerous different companies all over the world but he has always been known under the same name. Benjamin has always wrestled under his given name, from the day he signed with WWE 20 years ago.
