One Superstar who was touted to have a bright future, and even a potential match with Brock Lesnar, at the start of 2019 was Lars Sullivan. But, not much has gone right for the former WWE NXT Superstar in the last year or so.

First, Sullivan suffered an injury, when he was getting pushed heavily on WWE television. He suffered a knee injury in June last year, which was supposed to keep him out for around 9 months. This meant that he was not a part of the WWE Draft and he was undrafted. He had been a part of the SmackDown brand before that.
Lars Sullivan was then in the news for all the wrong reasons as past, controversial posts made by him were unearthed. He had made racist and homophobic posts which forced him to apologize publicly. Lars Sullivan was also fined by WWE and was to partake in sensitivity training for "offensive commentary uncovered from his past".
It remains to be seen if Lars Sullivan will ever return to the WWE, or if the company will let him go due to his past indiscretions.
