Also brought to the main roster during the 2016 WWE Draft, Carmella was actually the final person to be picked. She debuted on SmackDown and has stayed there ever since. The Princess of Staten Island quickly thrived as a heel as part of the female version of the SmackDown Six.

Carmella has been successful in multiple roles in WWE, with her heel persona and partnership with James Ellsworth playing a big role in her winning the Women's Money in the Bank briefcase in 2017. She won the SmackDown Women's Championship nights after WrestleMania 34, cashing in on Charlotte Flair.

Even if her title reign was not the best, in-ring wise, Carmella did end it with a bang. She played her part in a solid triple threat match at SummerSlam 2018, which served as a launching pad for Becky Lynch to reach the next level in WWE. Carmella has since been a reliable babyface, as she and R-Truth became one of the most entertaining acts on TV.

She did appear a lot on RAW alongside Truth in 2019, but the WWE Draft in October reinforced her spot as a SmackDown Superstar. Carmella has not appeared on TV in a while, but it seems like her return is imminent on the Blue brand.
