Kevin Owens, arguably had one of the biggest debuts of an NXT superstar, as he answered John Cena's United States open-challenge in 2015 while still being the NXT Champion at that time.
While he did not fight Cena then, the two went on to have a match at the Elimination Chamber PPV, where Owens shocked the world by pinning John Cena clean in his very first PPV match in WWE. That was quite a way to make an impact on the main roster and made him look like a huge deal already.
As for the second Superman, Kevin Owens defeated Roman Reigns on one episode of RAW in September 2016, thanks to interference from Rusev. Kevin Owens again pinned Reigns when he was the Universal Champion at the Royal Rumble PPV 2017 in the famous shark-cage match with Chris Jericho suspended high above the ring in a shark cage.
This win also came with the help of interference, this time from the Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman.
