Wrestling has always been in Randy Orton's blood. He comes from a legendary wrestling family and his father is Cowboy Bob Orton. Despite that, his initial goal was to be a part of the US Marine Corps and he was even enlisted before getting dishonourably discharged.

This led to Orton getting into the family business, so to speak. While he did wrestle in a local Missouri wrestling promotion that was run by his uncle, his first major break came when he joined WWE's developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling.

It is there that he built his skills and eventually made the jump to the main roster to become a part of Evolution and establish himself as one of the biggest names in the professional wrestling industry today.

It's hardly a surprise that Orton never toured the indie circuit looking at his disdain for everything not WWE.
