5 Current WWE Superstars who won't be in Hall of Fame

WWE Hall of Fame
For whatever controversy surrounds it, being in the WWE Hall of Fame is still an honour.

#3 Sin Cara

Sin Cara
Which Sin Cara would you even induct?

One of the most unfortunate debacles of the past decade was the signing, push, retraction and descent into the nothingness that is the Sin Cara character.

Originally, it was a monumental deal that Mistico would be joining WWE and effectively transitioning into a role as the next Rey Mysterio.

For months, he was built up as a mega star, but drama behind the scenes and some injuries coupled with an inability to perform at the level fans were expecting led to some crazy circumstances.

Eventually, there would be two Sin Cara characters—Sin Cara Azul (the real one) and Sin Cara Negro (the impostor)—but not long after that, there would be a complete reversal as Sin Cara Negro (formerly known as Hunico after being exposed) would take over the mantle.

This switch act and the overall lacklustre response to the character, in general, has tarnished the image so much that Sin Cara has spent the better part of his career as a midcard jobber rather than a Lucha Libre legend.

In 2011, it seemed as though this was the next big star to take the Hispanic audience into the next generation of wrestling fans, but just a few short years later, it became apparent that the experiment had failed.

Now, in 2017, what few fans the character has left are lucky to see him lose to people like Aiden English on a random and sporadic episode of SmackDown once in a while, so all hopes of a Hall of Fame career are gone.
