5 Divas that WWE should have in their roster after WrestleMania XXX

Womens wrestling is not certainly something that the WWE treats with main event significance. Classified under the tag Divas, most of the girls in the WWE have more model genes in them than wrestling ones.And the creative doesnt even bother to give them any storylines as well which leaves them with one match every week which will also be less than five minutes. They dont even get a chance to talk like the men nor does their title see any light.The sad part of all these is that, its the same WWE that used to have women like Trish Stratus, Lita and many more who could give the men a run for their money.There is no one except AJ Lee and Natalya in the current division who could match that caliber, but its never too late for improvements. So if the company decides to breathe in some life into the division after WrestleMania, here are some additions that they need to make.

It’s not very easy to hang around with such an overpowering character like CM Punk, and Serena did that task in style in her previous run in WWE.

However, being in the straight edge society kept her out of the ring most of the time and she never had an opportunity to show case her in ring skills in front of the WWE fans. After leaving WWE, she found great success in the female promotion Shimmer as a wrestler and was one of the biggest names there.

Serena also has the microphone skills and gimmick rating to go along with her in wrestling ability making her a worthy opponent for the currently reining AJ Lee.

A feud between AJ and Serena will be something which could keep the fans on their toe and AJ will have a better opponent who could actually wrestle as well.

#4 Melina Perez

Not many would’ve forgotten the girl who used perform that famous splits before getting into the ring.

Melina is said to be the diva that had the most impressive arsenal of offensive move sand she had the looks to go with it as well. Apart from her trade mark entrance, she held the women’s title three times and the Diva’s title twice.

Still a popular name among the WWE Universe, Melina could bring back the quality into the division which is dyeing day by day. She could also work in front of the camera making it a great business move for WWE as they would have someone who can wrestle and pose at the same time.

And to add with it, Melina has been active in the Indy circuit after her departure from the WWE which also takes out the ring rust factor from her.

#3 Beth Phoenix

The broad shouldered beauty had a great run last time in WWE and dominated the divas division before leaving.

Familiar as the Glamazon, Beth had a brawling style which most of the times morphed into a technical show thanks to her submission holds. She also holds the prestigious tag of being only the second women to enter the Royal Rumble.

She won the Women’s title thrice and the divas title once making her one of the best contenders to be bought back. Her chemistry with Natalya was one of the high points of the divas division back then and it would be also interesting to see her locking horns with AJ.

One problem with this however will be her willingness since she hasn’t wrestled for almost a year now after leaving WWE.

#2 Awesome Kong

Arguably the most dominating diva in the business today, Kong has a truck load of experience which could come in handy for WWE.

A two time former TNA knockout champion, Kong was also ranked the best female wrestler in the Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s inaugural list dedicated to the women. This simply reflects how highly regarded she is in the wrestling world and there is no reason why WWE shouldn’t have her.

She will be an interesting threat for AJ and her quirkiness as it’s a menace that everyone would fear of. The whole David against Goliath scenario can be recreated several times if WWE decides to sign her.

Kong has also toned down a lot during the break she took from wrestling and for women of her structure; Kong really has those skills that could embarrass even the lights of smaller divas like the Bella Twins or Summer Rae.

#1 Paige

It’s a bit of a cheat to have Paige in the list as she is already signed with WWE, but Paige is still ages away from the main roster which makes her a worthy addition.

Arguably the best diva that WWE has now (yes better than AJ Lee), Paige has been fighting her heart out in NXT and is the one and only NXT women champion in the history of the promotion. She has had many matches with the lights of Natalya, Summer Rae and many more from the main roster and also had an epic matches with Emma.

Not the typical “diva” type, Paige hails from a wrestling family which brought her up to wrestle rather than pose for the camera.

Her charisma and the anti-diva gimmick also made her one of the most popular faces in NXT and Paige clearly deserves to be called up.

She could easily turn out to be the modern incarnation of Lita and will be the face of Divas division in no time.
