After his disastrous run in WWE, WWE finally released EC3 amid cutbacks caused by the COVID-19. However, the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion finally made his way back to his old stomping grounds at Slammiversary 2020.
Cody is currently hosting the TNT Championship Open Challenge every week. If EC3 answered the call, that would've been a mark out moment of 2020. If there is a potential crossover between IMPACT and AEW in the future, then showdown between EC3 and Cody would be a must-watch match.
