Sting and Jeff Jarrett have a lot of history with each other, history which goes way back to 2005-2006 when The Stinger marked his return to TNA in dramatic fashion, by tormenting then NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett.

Sting and Jarrett shared the ring with each other on numerous occasions and had one of the best and most memorable rivalries for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. A rivalry which catapulted TNA as one of the biggest wrestling promotions in the world, as it started to attract more mainstream viewers from all around the globe, thanks to a few legends of the business who helped the promotion grow in overall.
Sting's iconic rivalry with Jeff Jarrett lasted for almost a year, as the two eventually concluded their feud in late 2006 with Sting recapturing the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and becoming the longest superstar to recapture his second NWA title from 1990 to 2006.
With Jarrett making a return to the WWE earlier this year, this seems like the perfect opportunity to rekindle this iconic rivalry and have both the former NWA World Heavyweight Champions face off against each other one final time, this time in WWE ring.
