WWE has missed out on several dream matches in the past with some of them being Goldberg v Undertaker, Sting v Undertaker, and Austin v Flair, to name a few.

The current crop of Superstars in WWE is one of the finest in-ring talents WWE has had in quite some time and there are several dream matches that can make the WWE Universe go wild.

Here, in this list, we look at five unique matchups that WWE can have to bring back fans that they've lost.

#5 Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Could the Kingslayer defeat the King of Strong Style?

"The Architect", Seth Rollins, facing off against "The Artist", Shinsuke Nakamura, can be a match for the ages. Two performers of the highest quality, Rollins and Nakamura are yet to cross paths in WWE, and a collision between these two can set the ring on fire.

Nakamura in his WWE career so far, has faced off against the likes of Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, to name a few, and his matches have rarely disappointed. His unique charisma and strong offensive approach have made his matches truly memorable.

Seth Rollins, on the other hand, has been at the top of WWE for quite some time now and is another performer who has a knack of giving quality matches with a wide range of opponents, week in, week out.

Expect both of these Superstars to bring the house down in their match and fans will be in for a delight whenever these two face off in WWE.

#4 John Cena vs Finn Balor

A five-star match in making?
A five-star match in making?

John Cena is nearing the end of his career and still has some dream matches in the WWE. In the past year, he has faced off against Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, and Roman Reigns, to name a few, and has done his part in elevating these Superstars.

Finn Balor looked to be the new face of WWE when he first debuted on the main roster. His tremendous rise to the top was spoiled by an unfortunate injury which took him out of action for quite some time. He has not reached the heights of his previous one-month stint and could use some help from "The face that Runs the Place".

John Cena and Finn Balor are two premier athletes of WWE and can put one hell of a match if given the right time and booking. Cena is on his way out soon and a wonderful performance against the Demon could help Balor become a bigger name in WWE.

#3 Triple H vs Bobby Roode

Bobby Roode has been tearing it up in the WWE since debuting in NXT last year. His undeniable charisma and wrestling skills have made him a 'glorious' Superstar in WWE.

Roode's performances have made the fans draw a comparison to a WWE legend, Triple H. Roode bears an uncanny resemblance to the current COO of WWE and has made fans fall in love with his matches.

"The Game" has transitioned to a part-time role and takes part in matches less frequently now, but is still an active wrestler who is capable of giving an excellent performance against a worthy opponent. Roode is still new on the roster, and a match against "The King of Kings" is something the fans will love.

Triple H and Roode both carry an old-school aura around them and a match between these two could be a fabulous WWE-style match that seems to be missing nowadays.

#2 Kurt Angle vs Daniel Bryan

Two legends to collide?

Kurt Angle returned to WWE in April and a ring return for the Hall of Famer has been widely speculated for quite some time now. Angle has admitted to being interested in returning to the squared circle soon and WWE can have a big money match from its legendary Superstar.

Angle has a list of worthy opponents and dream matches left in WWE but a match against Smackdown GM, Daniel Bryan, tops them all. Bryan was forced to retire in 2016 but has publicly admitted that he still wants to wrestle. It's been rumoured for quite some time that Bryan wants to return to ROH after his contract with WWE expires.

A match between these two can light up the wrestling universe and get the world talking as these two Superstars are one of the best of their generation.

#1 AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Is a repeat of WK10 on cards?
Is a repeat of WK10 on cards?

Were you expecting this to be the number one pick? If yes, then you can't be blamed as this match has been talked about for a long time and is already being rumoured to take place at Wrestlemania next year.

This match took place last year albeit in NJPW and was a great match from start to finish which got rave reviews, but many still felt it lacked something. It was a send-off for both of the Superstars as they were going to join WWE soon.

A collision between these two has been teased ever since Nakamura joined Smackdown in April this year, and a WWE championship feud between these two, ending in a match at Wrestlemania could be a show-stealer.
