Two of the most experienced names on the AEW roster and two with arguably the most star power, due to their history in WWE, this is a match that everybody wants to see.
Ever since it was officially announced that Jericho was joining the AEW roster, the company has been pushing the idea that this match might happen, with Jericho and Cody having issues with each other on Being The Elite.
The storyline in place is that Jericho wants a thank you from AEW for being the megastar that jumped ship, allowing the company to start selling out shows, whilst Cody doesn't believe he deserves any special recognition.
With an actual rivalry established and put in place, this is a storyline that AEW can easily run with, especially when they begin on television as they are both recognisable names who casual fans will be aware of.
On top of that, despite some brief interactions in WWE, the two men have never worked against each other, making this a dream match that fans would love to see.
