Vince McMahon is one of the greatest heels to ever grace professional wrestling. The WWE CEO was a regular fixture on WWE television in the Attitude Era where he cemented himself as a sort of an evil boss during his feuds with Stone Cold, The Rock and other WWE Superstars.

Although Mr. McMahon has often played the role of the heel, behind the scenes, Superstars have often spoken about how much he cares. In this piece, we take a look at some moments Vince McMahon got emotional in the WWE.

We found out about this incident from Stone Cold Steve Austin's 2004 book called The Stone Cold Truth. The incident in question took place in 1999 shortly after the WWE CEO found out about the seriousness of Stone Cold's neck injury and the fact that he would have to need surgery.

In the book, Austin wrote, "J.R went into Vince's office and Vince's eyes were red, and he was wiping the tears from his eyes... he really cared."

This doesn't just show how close Steve Austin and Vince McMahon are in real life, but also how much Vince McMahon cares about the well being of his wrestlers.

It's clearly an emotional moment and we can see Vince McMahon tearing up as he hugs Michaels after presenting him with the ring. Michaels and Vince McMahon have been close since the '90s and their friendship has always become stronger over the years.

The Rock and Vince McMahon have always been close, almost since the very beginning of Rock's WWE career. This was most evident on RAW in 2011 where The Rock was celebrating his birthday. The chairman himself came out in a surprise appearance to thank The Rock for everything he'd done for the WWE and also for each and every WWE fan.

Vince also took us back and shared a story from back when The Rock was just starting out in WWE. Vince recalled how The Great One pulled him aside and asked for an opportunity to reach for the brass ring.

Freddie Blassie joined Vince McMahon Sr's organization in the 1960's and continued as a WWE employee until the day he passed away in 2003.

Vince McMahon was one of the people who appeared in the tribute video for Blassie where an emotional Vince said, "Even though there's a vast age difference, there's a tremendous camaraderie I have with Classy Freddie Blassie and I will miss that forever."
