5 extreme moments from Kenny Omega vs Chris Jericho at Wrestle Kingdom 12

It finall
It finally happened...

Kenny Omega vs Chis Jericho could go down as a much more important match in retrospect but there was a lot going on during Alpha and Omega's big collision at the Wrestle Kingdom 12.

Of course, I can't say how many Meltzer stars this battle will get, but they get a solid score in my book.

With so much happening during this historic matchup, some things could have been missed so I've been able to boil things down to 5 awesome moments that I really feel sums up this great match.

#5 Chair shots not so PG Era

<p>

While blood might be a common theme for some people when talking about this match, and I'll admit it even made my list, I think the most shocking part was how stiff that one chair shot was to Kenny Omega's unprotected skull.

Jericho has laid into plenty of people with an unprotected chair shot to the head but it's bee a long time. At the Wrestle Kingdom 12, Y2J smashed The Cleaner in the head so hard it not only busted the chair into pieces but also sent Kenny Omega for a huge loop as well.

It was quite brutal and only added to the legitimacy of the match after Omega was already bleeding from his forehead after taking a headshot to a chair while it was wedged in the corner.

#4 Drink up his photography skills, maaaaan

Someone got a
Someone got a camera full of great pictures

During the match, Jericho took a little time to play to the crowd and enhance the story that he didn't care about anyone when he snatched a camera out of a photographer's hands and decided to snap some pictures himself.

Not only did Jericho get some amazing shots of a dazed Kenny Omega, but he also extended his middle finger to let everyone know how he felt about them and took some close-ups of his proud middle digit nonverbally saying everything he couldn't put into words at the moment.

Chris Jericho returned the camera back to its proper owner and I can only imagine that photographer will treasure those pictures on his camera roll that was snapped by the Ayatollah Of Rock n Rolla.

#3 There will be blood

This
This match got rather violent

The buildup to this match featured blood when Jericho attacked Omega from behind at the World Tag League and the match was no different.

Some people might say that Jericho should have bleed more as well, but his face was scraped open at his eyebrow from what it appears so at least his blood was brought on the hard way. While Omega likely bladed during this match, it certainly got the job done and told a great story as he took every bit of punishment Jericho could throw his way.

#2 Familiar entrance attire

I
I've seen that jacket before

It's interesting that Chris Jericho decided to go with his "$50,000 jacket light up jacket" but he left his scarf and list at home. However, Jericho's entrance was still pretty epic as his own band Fozzy's music played "Judas" while he walked to the ring in his legendary light-up outerwear.

If this is the same jacked that Dean Ambrose decided to shred then Jericho found a really great tailor to fix it. But even if it's just another one in his collection of light-up jackets, it was still a pretty great way for Jericho to make his entrance.

After all, if it's not broke don't fix it and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with Y2J's entrance attire. So drink it in, man.

#1 The Lion Tamer

Th
This match got intense

The perils of this match were shown in full-force as Chris Jericho turned a Walls Of Jericho submission move into a Lion Tamer. You can see the torque he put on Omega's neck and spine how much damage he was doing.

Omega fought to get free but it was to no avail. It wasn't until Kenny Omega crawled to the bottom rope and grabbed it that the hold was broken by Jericho. Even though, in retrospect, he probably didn't even need to relinquish his submission hold because it was a No DQ match, to begin with.
