5 fan chants you might have missed during WWE SmackDown (December 19th, 2017)

Did you hear
Did you hear everything they chanted?

New Jersey was lit for SmackDown Live. The chants were loud and inventive as the crowd did their best to keep the show after Clash Of Champions as entertaining as possible. They really captured the rambunctious live crowd all night and didn't really hit the mute button on their chants either.

From Daniel Bryan explaining his actions at Clash Of Champions to Shinsuke Nakamura's Kinshasa to Sami Zayn that closed out the night, this crowd was loving every second of it.

So let's take a look at 5 chants this crowd belted out, that are worth noting, if you missed them the first time.

1: Chickenheads

Those are
Those are fighting words

After Naomi came out and announced herself as the first entrant in the Women's Royal Rumble, the Riott Squad had to emerge and ruin the party. You could tell Charlotte Flair and Naomi were having a good time in the ring during this segment by the way they smiled at each other but the best was yet to come.

After Ruby Riott tried to take control of the microphone, Noami called them "chickenheads" in an off-handed remark. This probably wasn't meant to be such a big deal but the crowd started a rousing "chickenheads" chant anyway.

Naomi looked over at Charlotte Flair and kind of laughed while the crowd continued to chant a term that probably shouldn't be on WWE television (especially if WWE Creative knew how to search the Urban Dictionary).

2: Thank You, Daniel

Daniel
Daniel Bryan is a good man

People love Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. This is becoming more evident with every passing week. As Shane McMahon closed in on sealing the deal on their termination at Clash Of Champions, Daniel Bryan was there to throw down a quick three count and secure a win for the former ROH Tag Team Champions.

On SmackDown Live this week, Shane McMahon came down to confront Daniel Bryan for his actions at Clash Of Champions when the Bearded GOAT replied, "I did what I did to protect you from yourself."

"Thank you, Daniel" chants broke out as the crowd in attendance wanted to show the SmackDown Live General Manager how much they appreciated his actions at Clash Of Champions.

3: Who's Your Daddy?

Vinc
Nobody will ever forget who Shane McMahon's father is

This amazing fan chant also came during the opening segment with Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon as they build toward who knows what?!?!

McMahon was trying to reason with Daniel Bryan and the former WWE Champion read between the lines as he asked, "From a business standpoint? Are you saying I should have done what's best for business?"

After that, Daniel Bryan said if McMahon is so ready to fire someone, then he should fire him. This is interesting on so many levels, especially considering Daniel Bryan's wishes to wrestle regardless of whether it's for WWE.

Then Daniel Bryan said he wanted Shane McMahon to fire him, "Because I don't want to see Shane-O Mac turn into Mr. McMahon."

This resulted in a ton of "who's your daddy" chants from the New Jersey crowd.

4: Hey, We Want Some Pancakes!

The New Day
The New Day did up Christmas in a big way this week

It still puzzles me why the New Day has started bringing pancakes to the ring, but they've kind of made that their thing recently. But it looks like the whole pancake schtick is catching on because the crowd in New Jersey was wild for the five-time WWE Tag Team Champions' flapjacks.

During The New Day's match against Rusev and Aiden English there were tons of "we want pancakes" chants as well as a "hey, we want some pancakes" sing-song chant just like people chant for Bayley when she's in a position to get over with a crowd.

If The New Day's connection to pancakes keeps picking up, Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston might have their faces on another food product soon enough.

5: Rusev Day

Happy
Happy Rusev Day!

In all honesty, every item on this list should have been Rusev Day because every day is Rusev Day. As should every fan chant. But during Rusev and Aiden English's match against The New Day, this popular heel tag team received a ton of love from the New Jersey crowd.

Rusev did everything he needed to in order to get over as a babyface as well. He tossed out free merchandise and he was dressed as Rusev Claus as well. It was a pretty great way to display his personality.

Crowds are starting to buy into Rusev for the man behind the Machka and he's obviously loving the chance to have a little fun. Alongside Aiden English, it's easy to imagine how many more crowds will burst out in a rousing "Rusev Day" chant for a long time to come.
