Sasha Banks and Sarath Ton

Sasha Banks is one of the top WWE Superstars today. Her husband, Sarath Ton, was once a wrestler too.

Ton kicked off his wrestling career in 2002 and spent ten years performing in different promotions until he finally made it to WWE. In 2012, he had a one-off match on Monday Night RAW under the name Rutherford Hayes.

In 2015, Ton made his debut on NXT as Mikaze. However, his run in WWE was short as he sustained a head injury during a match against The Vaudevillians, which forced him to retire the same year.

Sasha Banks' husband held a few titles outside of WWE. He is a former Chaotic Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, a two-time CW New England Champion and a three-time CW Tag Team Champion.

Following his retirement, Ton pursued a different career, although he stayed in WWE. The former NXT Superstar became a costume designer. He has designed wrestling gear for several WWE superstars, including Paige, Bayley and his wife.

Banks spoke about her husband's designing talent in an interview with the Miami Herald:

"He knows what I want. He envisions it. I just tell him, ‘I want to look the best, the greatest. Just do your thing,’ and he always makes me look amazing."

Banks and Ton's relationship goes a long way back. They even faced each other in the ring in a fatal four-way in 2012 at the Beyond Wrestling Off The Grid: Studio Taping event. The couple tied the knot in August 2016.
