Brock Lesnar and Edge faced off at Rebellion PPV in 2002

It's a pity that this feud never happened during Brock Lesnar's first run in WWE. Edge, like Lesnar, made this year's Royal Rumble and the men's Royal Rumble match, a memorable one. The WWE Hall of Famer returned to in-ring action after nine years, which got him a humongous reception at the PPV.

In Lesnar's first run in WWE, which ended in 2004, Edge was establishing himself as a singles star, having been part of one of the best tag teams, when he teamed up with Christian. Edge and Lesnar did not have a singles feud back then with them facing each other only once, at the Rebellion PPV in 2002.

Lesnar, who was the WWE Champion - which he won earlier in the year after defeating The Rock - won the match against Edge, retaining his belt. The WWE Universe would love to see the two icons face each other and tick off another match from the list of dream matches for both Superstars.
