Remember Kevin Owens? He was the one that faced Bryan for the WWE Title at Fastlane. With the benefit of hindsight, it could be claimed that he was used as nothing more than a filler at Fastlane against Daniel Bryan so that Kingston got his WrestleMania moment.
And now that Kofi has had it, Kevin Owens could come back and make a claim for the title. After all, he was in the running for it in the PPV before WrestleMania. As New Day celebrate Kofi’s title win at SmackDown two days later, Kevin Owens could come out and congratulate the champion.
After that, he could turn heel and attack the faction – maybe with the help of his friend Sami Zayn – and make a claim for the title. Once again, however, this is an unlikely option since it doesn’t really make a lot of sense.
