In 2017, we saw many great rivalries that not only blew the roof off, but also set the bar for others to reach. While some of them were not used to their potential like Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar, some became a modern-day classics like Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman.

WrestleMania 34 will open the doors to many exciting rivalries for both brands thanks to the upcoming Superstar Shake-up. While some have been seen before, others are fresh and very interesting.

Here, we look at 5 feuds that need to happen in 2018.

#5 Samoa Joe vs Braun Strowman

Samoa
Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman have faced each other in a singles match in a WWE House Show

Arguably two of the most fearsome wrestlers on the roster, The Monster Among Men and the Samoan Submission Machine have crossed each other's path before but they haven't yet faced each other in a proper feud. With Joe possibly returning from injury sooner than later, this match isn't very far away.

It is of no doubt that both Strowman and Joe will be eyeing the Universal Championship and hence have to eliminate all the other contenders. If there is anyone credible enough to take out Braun Strowman, it is Samoa Joe.

The former NXT star, like Strowman, got the best out of Brock Lesnar multiple times. While both failed to beat The Beast Incarnate, they were impressive in their efforts.

#4 Randy Orton vs AJ Styles

Randy Orton and AJ Styles squared off against each other on March 7th, 2017 edition of Smackdown Live

On March 7th, 2017, Randy Orton battled AJ Styles to determine who will face Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania. While this was a dream match for many, the match actually did turn out to be one of the best matches of SmackDown Live in 2017. The storytelling between the two in the match was absolutely phenomenal.

Fans who watched the match were enthralled by the feud. Styles is arguably the greatest wrestler on the planet, and an inspired Randy Orton is as good as anyone. While The Viper did get the better of Styles the last time, it is not certain who will emerge victorious if they cross each other's path again.

#3 Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns

Both Finn Balor and Roman Reigns have a singles victory over each other

Finn Balor and Roman Reigns are no strangers to each other. The two have faced each other in a singles match, 6-Men tag team match and even in a fatal 5-way. However, the interesting thing is that both of them are even when it comes to singles action.

The two have faced each other twice on Monday Night Raw with each of them emerging victorious once.

However, there are reasons for this match to happen. Roman Reigns is most likely to walk out of WrestleMania as the Universal Champion. As for Balor, he is yet to receive a rematch for the title he never lost.

Hence, this match is inevitable provided Reigns does not lose the title to someone else.

#2 Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins

The history Rollins and Ambrose share with each other needs not to be explained

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose know each other better than anyone else. They have been tag team champions and fought each other for the WWE Championship.

While the two have feuded before, this time events can take a drastic turn. While both of them had his time in the main event scene, but in the past few months, neither of them has made quite an impact as a singles wrestler.

However, after Ambrose's injury, Rollins did get his shining moment when he beat both Roman Reigns and John Cena in the same night. However, this time The Lunatic Fringe could be the heel against The Architect. The history and chemistry between the two will make this one of the best feuds of the year.

#1 Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles

Seth Rollins and AJ Styles are yet to face each other in a singles match

There is hardly any wrestling fan who will not be thrilled by the idea of seeing these two wrestlers compete against each other. Two of the very best not in just WWE, but in professional wrestling, Rollins and Styles are yet to face each other in a singles match.

While the duo have crossed paths before, it hasn't led to a serious confrontation between them. There are rumors that either Rollins or Styles will switch brands after the Superstar Shake-up. Hence, it is a high possibility that this dream match will take place in 2018.
