5 feuds that could rock WWE in 2018

WWE
WWE could be towards a game-changing year.

2017 was a great year for the WWE. A lot of feuds entertained the WWE Universe and captivated the attention of the critics. It helped to elevate some wrestlers' position & direction in the company and gave Raw & SmackDown Live some fresh faces who led the charge from the front.

With WrestleMania just around the corner, the WWE Universe expects 2018 to be rock solid too with feuds that have never happened in the past and some feuds that need a sequel.

Let's look at the top 5 feuds that could rock WWE in 2018.

#5 Bray Wyatt vs Braun Strowman

<p>
Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman will collide eventually

'The Eater Of Worlds' vs 'The Monster Among Men' is a stellar feud on paper. Both the superstars have a solid dark history that makes a future showdown between the two possible. Bray Wyatt introduced the world to Sister Abigail's 'black sheep', Braun Strowman, on 24 August 2015 on Monday Night Raw.

Ever since then, Braun was considered the next big thing that couldn't be stopped. Despite the poor booking of the Wyatt Family, Strowman continued to be a constant threat to the WWE locker room. He was the most protected member of the four and after Wyatt got drafted to SmackDown Live in 2016 with Harper & Rowan, 'the Monster Among Men' took over Raw.

Braun Strowman has been unstoppable so far and with the Raw roster unable to control the 'Monster', it is highly likely that Bray Wyatt may step in. A feud of this magnitude could be a career revival for Bray Wyatt who has been struggling to find success with the WWE. From a booking standpoint, it would make sense if Strowman defeats his creator, but, expect Wyatt to take 'the Monster' to the dark with him.

#4 John Cena vs Samoa Joe

Will the Coquina Clutch put the face that runs the place to sleep?

John Cena and Samoa Joe have a long history. Both the talented superstars were part of Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW), which was a developmental company of the WWE back then. They also had a good feud back in 2000, in the developmental, before Cena signed with the WWE and became a 16-time World Champion.

It has been rumored that John is scheduled for a 'major role' at the Superdome this year which has led to speculation of a possible dream match with the Undertaker. But if the Deadman and 'Big match' John Cena are unable to clash at the Show of Shows, then the next logical step for Cena would be to clash with the Samoan they call 'Joe'.

Both the superstars are capable of pulling off a fantastically memorable feud. The Samoan challenging to take out Cena at the Royal Rumble only adds fuel to the fire that there might be a possible showdown ahead.

Cena vs Joe has all the ingredients to be a solid bout. Both the wrestlers have shared an amazing journey before making it big in the wrestling business and with John now a part-timer, it seems inevitable that the Samoan will get the better of him.

#3 A.J. Styles vs Finn Balor

The
The Balor Club may burn the house that A.J. Styles built

A feud becomes terrific when it has history combined with correct timing. These two superstars are the most popular wrestlers in the company today. Both displayed their offensive and technical skills when they collided for a 'one night only' bout at WWE TLC. While A.J. Styles lost the match, he went ahead and became the WWE Champion. But as far as Finn is concerned, he lost to Kane the next night on Raw and remained directionless for most of 2017.

Things took a massive turn when the Demon joined hands with his former Bullet Club buddies and formed his own 'Balor Club'. The great thing about this story is that A.J. Styles also had a club of his own when he turned 'heel' and had a blockbuster feud with John Cena. This makes his match with Finn Balor even more special and exciting.

With Balor possibly drafted to SmackDown Live after WrestleMania 34, we could see the Balor Club change the landscape of the blue brand. A potential showdown with the Phenomenal One could be a spellbinding dramatic feud with both superstars tearing each other up to display their dominance. Expect this to be Finn's most exciting main roster bout that may end with him burning the house that A.J. Styles built.

#2 Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns

Th
The most dominant group in WWE history may fall again

The Shield will go down in history as the most dominant force that ever stepped foot in a WWE ring. Since we are talking about history, it was in 2014 when 'the Architect' betrayed his brothers to join hands with the Authority. The man went on to become a solid main event superstar then and won the WWE Championship by successfully cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 31 and pinning Roman Reigns.

While Roman Reigns was always considered the top guy in the Shield and went on to headline three WrestleManias and has multiple championships to his account, it has been the Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose that has not enjoyed much success within the company.

Ambrose may be a grand slam champion but he is still seen as a weakling in the Shield. Originally scheduled to face his Shield counterpart Seth Rollins this year, Dean, unfortunately, got sidelined with a bicep injury which ruled him out for nine months. Ambrose might return in time for Summer Slam which could be the time when he turns on his brothers who continue to enjoy their success.

Dean's 'heel' turn could be a remarkable chapter in the Shield's rivalry and could see him win the Universal Championship somewhere down the line. Imagine Dean Ambrose walking in as the Champion at WrestleMania 35 with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as the challengers. It would be a phenomenal way to culminate a rivalry that has all the ingredients to be remembered for years to come.

#1 Triple H vs Kurt Angle

Wi
Will the Olympic Gold medalist play the Game?

Triple H against Kurt Angle is a money-making feud that could bring back the great chemistry they shared in the ring. Both the superstars know how to sell a story. With Kurt Angle doing his role as the General Manager and Stephanie McMahon as the Raw Commissioner, it seems inevitable that somewhere down the line, the Cerebral Assassin will take out his suit and decimate the Olympic Gold medalist.

They had a heated confrontation last year which ended with Triple H giving a thunderous pedigree to Kurt's illegitimate son, Jason Jordan. The duo fired shots at each other after the Game took out Angle in the Survivor Series traditional match and pinned Shane himself to win the match for Raw.

While, there have been rumors that Triple H will take on Braun Strowman at the Superdome, the possibility of a potential main event clash with the Raw General Manager cannot be ruled out. Expect this to be a solid 'Angle vs Authority' storyline. An eventual clash at WrestleMania seems the way to go, with Kurt getting the Game to tap out to the 'Ankle lock'.
