#3 Test

Test was never an ordinary Superstar
Test was never an ordinary Superstar

Test was one of WWE’s premier athletes during the 2000s. Vince McMahon has always loved big guys with great builds, and Test was one Superstar who had much more to offer than just his impressive build. He was agile, had decent mic skills and all the makings of a future hall of famer.

While the company hid him behind teams and factions for extended periods of time, his greatest success came as a singles performer. In WWE, he won the Intercontinental and European Championships, and the Hardcore Championship (twice). He also won the World Tag Team Championships twice.

Even though Test was a superstar to look out for, jealousy within the WWE ranks consumed him. He was made to cut his hair and was put in storylines that did not match his potential.

He did have a good singles run, but that did not last long enough for him to become one of WWE’s megastars. Test was let go by the company in 2004 after he underwent spinal fusion surgery.

He went on to compete on the independent circuit and tried his hand at other promotions, but tragically passed away in 2009, just four days after his 34th birthday.

It is interesting to also note that Test was involved in an on-screen romance with the billion-dollar princess Stephanie McMahon and the two were supposed to get married as per the storyline. How Triple H turned the tables on this angle and ended up ushering in the McMahon-Helmsley era is indeed the stuff of legend.

While Test was a great superstar who gave WWE some fine storylines, he may never be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
