History will be made at Wrestlemania 34!

The stage has been set and the final preparations are officially underway as WWE WrestleMania 34 is set for takeoff in just hours from now. As it stands at the moment, there are thirteen matches booked for this historic event, which includes 3 matches set for the pre-show. One of the matches announced for the pre-show is the first-ever WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal.

Some of the top ladies from the WWE roster have been confirmed to participate in this bout, including Sasha Banks, Natalya, Naomi, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch and Lana, just to name a few.

Aside from the current lineup already confirmed for the match, there has been speculation regarding some of the popular women's wrestlers from the past who just might make an appearance or a return at the big event.

Here's a look at 5 former WWE superstars who could potentially make a surprising return at WrestleMania to compete in the first-ever WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal.

#5 Kharma

En
Half-woman...Half-monster

Let's start our list off with someone whom I believe to be one of the most underrated and mismanaged women's wrestlers of our generation. Kharma is someone who is big and strong, yet also deceptively quick and agile for someone of her stature.

While she may be intimidating at first sight, her former co-workers describe her as someone of good character and someone they all look up to. In fact, Hall of Famer's Trish Stratus and Lita took Kharma under their respective wings and gave her the encouragement she needed to excel at the highest level.

Since her WWE departure, Kharma has been on a mission to get healthier and has since lost a significant amount of weight. However, she's still just as dangerously capable of making a huge impact in the Women's Battle Royal if she gets that call.

#4 Sable

The Beauty behind the Beast

She has technically been retired since 2004. She has done a good job at staying out of the spotlight, despite being married to the biggest star in the entire industry.

During her relatively short career, Sable was able to soak up a lot of great experience, during some of the sport's most popular eras. Starting back in the mid-90's, Sable actually made her debut at Wrestlemania 12 as the valet for "Hunter Hearst Helmsley." Of course, she would eventually go on to work with her former husband Marc Mero for an extensive amount of time before making her singles run and winning the WWF Women's Champion before finally calling it quits and retiring in 2004.

Since leaving the sport, Sable has been very vocal in support of her husband Brock Lesnar, regardless if it's been with WWE or MMA, she's certainly stuck by her Beast.

Wrestling doesn't necessarily need someone like Sable to make a full-time, permanent return. After-all, she will celebrate her 51st birthday just a few months after Wrestlemania.

However, fans would probably love to see Sable make an impromptu appearance at Wrestlemania 34, competing in the Women's Battle Royal. I'm not very hopeful that this one would become a reality, I just think she would provide that surprise moment that we often hunger for as members of the WWE Universe.

#3 Trish Stratus

Canada's finest export?

She is widely regarded as one of the greatest women's wrestlers of all-time. She's technically flawless, quick, incredibly tough and yeah, she's easy on the eyes as well. Her name is Trish Stratus and unless you've lived under a rock for the past 20-years, you are well aware of who she is and what she can do.

One surprising factor to keep in mind is that Stratus was only around for roughly five-and-a-half years total. It's what she was able to accomplish in that short amount of time that truly made her great. Not only was Trish a 7-time WWE Diva Champion, but she also won the WWE Hardcore title, in a division designed for and dominated by her male counterparts.

Stratus was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013 and has since been seen sporadically, for special occasions. It's also worth noting that Stratus is only 42-years old and appears to be in tremendous health.

#2 Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn has recently returned to action

After less than 4-years in the business, former WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn shocked the WWE Universe when she essentially walked away from the company in 2014. Kaitlyn stated that she wanted to retire from wrestling and focus on her marriage, as well as her clothing line.

Kaitlyn married well-known bodybuilder PJ Braun about a month prior to her abrupt departure and the couple settled in South Florida, where both operated their own businesses from the Boca Raton area.

Unfortunately, the marriage would eventually fall apart and the couple would eventually finalize their divorce in September of 2017.

It didn't take long for Kaitlyn to get the wrestling itch once again, following her split with Braun and just this past February, Kaitlyn made her in-ring return for South Florida based promotion Coastal Championship Wrestling, where she defeated second-generation star Rachael Ellering, daughter of "Precious" Paul Ellering.

Fans have always adored Kaitlyn and with her being only 31-years old, Kaitlyn has plenty of fuel remaining for a return on the Grandest Stage of them all, WrestleMania.

#1 AJ Lee

Professional wrestling's cutest nerd.

AJ Lee came to the WWE as someone who was a lifelong fan of the sport. Everyone has seen the photo and/or the video of AJ Lee meeting her hero, WWE Hall of Famer Lita when she was just a young fan.

It was pure fate that eventually brought AJ to the WWE, but it was her passion and all around skill that eventually turned Lee into a champion.

It's obvious that CM Punk's unfortunate fallout and departure would result in an uncomfortable working environment for AJ. With that said, it was only a matter of time that she would follow her husband to Chicago, where they would start their new life, without wrestling being involved.

A lot of time has passed since AJ and Punk left the company. With that time, hopefully, there has been a measure of forgiveness given on behalf of both sides.

Even if AJ doesn't want to come back full-time, one would have to believe she at least has enough love for the sport left in her heart to at least give her fans a proper sendoff. What way would be better than to have your official curtain-call on the Grandest Stage of them all at Wrestlemania 34?
