The 5 funniest moments of R-Truth's WWE career

He has a point!

WWE is not all heels and baby faces fighting it out in the ring. Every once in a while, there comes a character which provides comic relief to the audiences. R-Truth, the character played by Ron Killings is one of them.

From his engaging entrance to his witty promos and his entertaining histrionics inside the ring, everything is cherished by the audiences. Currently, he may not be a major player in the WWE but, over the years he has provided the viewers with some hilarious moments. Let’s look at the top 5 funniest moments of R-Truths' career:

5. Conspiracy theory against Truth

It was 2011 and CM Punk had just dropped the "pipe bomb" two weeks ago and it had made the whole wrestling world sit up and take notice. Money in the Bank was the most awaited Pay-Per-View that time.

On the last Raw episode before MITB, R-Truth came out to cut a promo with all members of the MITB Ladder match in the ring. He claimed that there is a conspiracy against him. Truth reasoned that he should be headlining MITB as he had beaten John Cena the previous week.

Explaining the conspiracy, he proclaimed that he had arachnophobia (fear of spiders) instead of acrophobia (fear of heights). So what does Truth do? In the spur of the moment, he decides that he has both.

Not just the audience, even the announcing team was in splits. His explanation of his irrational fears about ladders and the MITB briefcase was even more amusing. Truth even nailed the expressions during the promo which made him seem even more delusional.

4. Truth goes to Disneyland

Just before the Royal Rumble 2012, Truth was cutting a promo when Wade Barrett decided to interrupt him and boasted about how he will win the Royal Rumble.

Little Jimmy then questioned why Barrett doesn't smile. And to bring back his smile, Truth showed him some badly photoshopped images of himself with Mickey, Minnie and Donald Duck (a sitting duck according to Truth).

But, the best of the lot was his picture with Pinocchio after Pinocchio had said that Wade Barrett would win the Royal Rumble. R-Truth's response to Pinocchio's elongated nose "I don't even know if that's PG!" is what elevated the promo from being a run-of-the-mill promo to a one which brought brazen laughter to the audiences watching.

3. R-Truth runs for President

WWE can come up with some crazy ideas to promote matches at their Pay-Per-Views. One such idea was the Presidential style debate between all the participants - CM Punk, R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Chris Jericho and Kofi Kingston.

Just before Elimination Chamber 2012, all the participants took part in a debate. Only for R-Truth, it was a debate for a real election. When Truth's turn came to speak, he started by saying that, if he is elected, he will first trade Vickie and Ziggler with Hornswoggle and a box of spiders (he still suffered from Arachnophobia!!).

Also, he promised to add the word "what" to every line of the Pledge of Allegiance. He went on to say that he would use the box of spiders to make his grandmother's spider stew, which would provide him strength for the Chamber match.

Truth's gibberish continued when he imitated a dolphin only because he didn't want to respond to a guy named after Flipper (read Ziggler). The icing on the cake was Ziggler, who conveyed his wonderment for Truth's insanity through his expressions.

It’s this comic timing that makes R-Truth stand out in a segment with people like CM Punk and Chris Jericho who are two of the most gifted workers on the mic ever.

2. R-Truth owns it

On June 8th , 2015, episode of Raw, R-Truth barged into a segment between Ziggler, Reigns and Kane. He bragged about how he overcame his fear of ladders (Stepnophobia, that's what his acrophobia had mutated into!) at WrestleMania.

When Kane questioned him about what was he doing out there, he said he wanted to tell the people what the Truth will do at Money in the Bank. But, the only problem was that he was not in the match. When Kane brought that to his notice, the quizzical look on his face was priceless.

More so, his response to Kane was bemused. Watching him stutter to say "This one's on me" and "Ya'll be good" had people rolling in the aisles. Truth not only owned up to his mistake, but, also owned the segments with quirky comic timing and antics.

1. Triple H, R-Truth and the other guys

R-Truth was going through a heel phase and had started talking to an imaginary friend of his, Little Jimmy. He had just lost in the MITB match because of spiders and height. To vent his frustration, he interrupted Hunter during a promo on the July 25th, 2011 episode of Raw.

Truth walked down the ramp blabbering to Little Jimmy about what he was conveying to Triple H. He demanded the conspiracy to be rectified, but Triple H was not amused. Just to rile him Triple H started talking to little guys of his own, which made R-Truth eyeball him. Truth even called Hunter insane.

This segment gave a glimpse of unadulterated humor that Triple H and R-Truth are capable of dishing out. Though the segment ended in a beat down from John Morrison, it will be remembered for the comic brilliance of both Triple H and R-Truth.

Ron Killings might not have many years left in the tank, but, he still has this legendary comic timing which brings out some great comic segments for the audiences. Even his current storyline with Goldust (though a bit stretched) provides a chuckle or two. Well with his talents you can expect some more.
