As revealed by Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda, Kofi Kingston is on the verge of a massive breakdown, following the loss of his Championship. It was odd to see him go back to the cheerfulness and the pancakes on the following week after losing his prized WWE Championship. But now the signs are all present, and it is only a matter of time before the man snaps.
And what better stage for him to lose his mind than at Crown Jewel during the match that he's a part of, with him turning on Big E, to forsake the pancakes and the hip-swiveling for a very serious heel persona. This could be just what the doctor ordered because if Kofi Kingston remains the cheerful babyface that he is, he could slowly but surely slide down the card as can be seen already from him picking up a loss on SmackDown.

Keep your eyes peeled for more small signs of Kofi Kingston's impending breakdown. This is going to be a long, slow, magnificent piece of storytelling.#WWE#SmackDown
So maybe The New Day turns heel or maybe Kofi Kingston turns on Big E, but a change in character is certainly due for everyone's favorite babyface. Especially with Xavier Woods on the shelf, I think that The New Day's time as a trio is running out.
