5 highlights from Monday Night Raw (26 November 2018)

Baron Corbin attacking Finn Balor

Another great show by WWE Raw, with many things falling according to plan, and some storylines slowly gathering pace, but it was slightly disappointing to see that the pace at which some storylines are going seems too slow.

WWE pulls the trigger on some storylines, and then again stalls, which sometimes even though gives rise to anticipation, also has resulted in a lot of frustration for the fans.

The Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins Feud was stalled and limited to a strange segment, so was the feud between Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey, as both seemed more obsessed with what happened at Survivor Series rather than focusing on their match at TLC.

Nia definitely needs a mouthpiece as she hardly seems to be good on the mic, and her work on the mic sometimes ends up going against her.

Lets look at some of the highlights of what panned out on this edition of RAW.

#1 The Glorious Robe gets flushed

It does seem like Bobby Roode and Chad Gable will finally get the push in the tag team division
It does seem like Bobby Roode and Chad Gable will finally get the push in the tag team division

Bobby Roode and Chad Gable faced the Authors of Pain in a tag team championship match after they had secured a win against the champions last week. And during the match, all of a sudden Drake Maverick got hold of Bobby Roode's "Glorious Robe" and went to the backstage area.

After some time in the match when Bobby seemed like gaining an upper hand in the match, the camera switched back to the backstage area where Drake Maverick took Bobby Roode's robe and flushed it in the toilet, which led to a distraction, and allowed the Authors of Pain to gain an upper hand and win the match.

This might result in an extended storyline, and maybe a push as well for Bobby and Chad for the tag team title.

#2 The Ronda Rousey vs Nia Jax feud meanders to the next step

The feud between Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax has developed at a snail's pace

It won't be a step too far to say that the feud between Nia and Ronda Rousey lacks the fizz, and is borderline boring. Nia is woeful on the mic, and really really needs a mouthpiece that can actually communicate well for her.

Ronda herself is still learning the ropes in WWE, and is still pretty rough around the edges, and it shows. The two women have hardly confronted, and even when they did, it just seemed nothing more than a stalemate.

The match-up between them seems to have next to nothing heat, as both seem to be hung up on what happened at Survivor Series. It's high time WWE does something about it, because it just seems like dead rubber, with neither of the women able to generate much hype.

#3 Alexa Bliss is in charge of the WWE Raw women's division

Baron Corbin in a segment of Raw has made Alexa Bliss in charge of the Raw women's division. There have been rumours floating around where Alexa is speculated to be the next General Manager of Raw, at least until she recovers from the concussion.

The storyline took the next step this week with Corbin handing over a part of his duties to Alexa Bliss.

With the stipulation for the Baron Corbin vs Braun Strowman match being that if Baron wins he'll be the permanent RAW General Manager, and given the current predicament of Braun Strowman, it would be interesting to see how in all of this Little Miss Bliss comes into the picture and scoops the big prize from the hands of Baron Corbin.

#4 Seth wins the IC Championship open challenge match, while Dean cuts a "heel" promo

Seth Rollins had announced on Twitter that he would bring back the Intercontinental title Open Challenge back on Raw. With the match-up between Seth and Dean Ambrose already set, we were not really sure how this was going to pan out, as Dean might have come in during the match and caused interference.

During the show, Dean came out and made it clear that he had not come to Milwaukee, and completed a heel segment by calling the fans as well as Seth - Vermin.

Seth on his part proceeded with his match, as it was Dolph Ziggler who emerged as the challenger for the Intercontinental title. Seth was able to beat Dolph, and successfully defended the title, it just seemed like a one-off thing for Seth, and not something he'll do every week leading up to TLC.

#5 Bobby, Baron, and Drew wreak havoc on Raw

The trio of Bobby, Drew, and Baron Corbin completely dominated Raw
The trio of Bobby, Drew, and Baron Corbin completely dominated Raw

The trio of Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, and Baron Corbin as expected formed an alliance on Raw, and completely dominated.

First up they had a match between Elias and Bobby which was turned into a no disqualification match. Elias was beaten to a pulp by the alliance, as he was thrown on the steel steps by Drew, then speared by Lashley.

Later in the night, Finn Balor was supposed to face Baron Corbin, but when Finn was about to go for The Coup De Grace on Corbin, the GM moved aside and changed the match into a 2 on 1, with Drew being Corbin's partner.

Again the team decimated Balor as well, and as the night ended, the trio stood tall on Monday Night Raw, with many possibilities in store for this alliance.
