Shawn Michaels returned to the ring this year after eight years

This past year has seen WWE celebrate 25 years of Monday Night Raw and whilst many legends returned to the company as part of this show back in January, there are others who have decided to return throughout the year.

The likes of Rey Mysterio, Kane, The Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and even Kurt Angle have returned to the ring this year and the fact that all six of these men performed as part of Crown Jewel last month presented an interesting statistic.

The show in Saudi Arabia was the first time that all these men have been in the same WWE ring since WrestleMania 22 back in 2006, which saw Mysterio win the World Championship in a triple threat match that also included Kurt Angle and Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels defeated Vince McMahon, Kane team with The Big Show in a losing effort for the Tag Team Championships, Undertaker defeat Mark Henry and Triple H defeated by John Cena in the main event. Crown Jewel was the perfect signal to show that times have definitely changed.
