5 inter-promotional matches that could happen at Survivor Series

Will Fantasy Warfare Get Real Again?
Will Fantasy Warfare come alive?

Survivor Series is approaching, and given the huge success of last year's edition, WWE will be looking to put forth another memorable show.

The Raw vs Smackdown dynamic presented last year featured the battle for brand supremacy as the main theme of the PPV. The elite Superstars from both brands fighting each other was a treat to watch.

So, without any further ado, here are some of the matches that WWE could pull out of its hat to make this year's Survivor Series memorable.

#5 The Shield vs The New Day

Which is the best 3 man band ?
Which is the best three-man group?

Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins together as the Shield were arguably one of the best factions to ever step foot in WWE. Their popularity grew by leaps and bounds and they had tremendous success during their time together.

The New Day has been one of the most popular and craziest acts that WWE has brought out in recent years. The WWE Universe was sceptical of this stable at first, but their performances have made everyone fall in love with these unicorn horn-wearing Superstars.

The New Day is currently on Smackdown in their third tag team championship run, while Rollins and Ambrose are the Raw Tag Champs. A Shield reunion is being rumoured soon and having these two factions face off against each other can lead to an explosive battle.

All six performers involved have fantastic in-ring skills and are great on the microphone, so a collision between these two can get the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats.

#4 Charlotte Flair vs Asuka

Charlotte Flair vs Asuka has been spoken by many as a Wrestlemania worthy match for quite some time now. Asuka is scheduled to debut soon, while Charlotte has come back on Smackdown Live after a short absence.

Asuka joined WWE's developmental program NXT in 2015 and has not lost a single match till date. If booked correctly on the main roster, Asuka could end up being one of the best women wrestlers in the history of WWE.

Asuka will most likely run through the women's division of RAW and end up being the champion by Survivor Series. Charlotte could become the champion of Smackdown Live soon and a champion vs champion feud could be an interesting dynamic leading upto the PPV.

WWE isn't shying away from giving Wrestlemania calibre matches on normal PPVs, and if this match is given the green light, it could end up being an epic encounter.

# 3 AJ Styles vs Jason Jordan

An open challenge to RAW incoming?
An open challenge to RAW incoming?

AJ Styles has reinstated the massively popular US Title Open Challenge, which was a huge success during John Cena's title run. Cena used the Open Challenge to get younger Superstars over with the crowd and Styles has followed suit.

There are several Superstars on the RAW roster such as Rollins, Balor, Strowman, to name a few, who can have quality matches with AJ Styles. However, WWE will be better off preserving this matches for a later date. Styles vs Balor/Rollins/Strowman should not be wasted in an Open Challenge.

Jason Jordan has been heavily pushed ever since Kurt Angle announced him as his son, and this has led him having matches with Cena, Reigns, Balor to name a few. WWE is clearly invested in making Jordan a megastar and he could be the perfect Superstar to answer the Open Challenge at Survivor Series.

Both Styles and Jordan are known to be brilliant workers and a match between these two could be a major talking point and a straight up MOTY contender.

#2 The Miz vs Bobby Roode

AWESOMMMMEEEE
AWESOMMMMEEEE

Miz "The Awesome One" vs Bobby "The Glorious One" Roode could be a gloriously awesome match for Survivor Series. Miz has been on fire of late with his promos and his work with the Miztourage.

"The A-Lister" is currently in the midst of his seventh Intercontinental Championship reign and has been the King of Upper Mid-Card for quite some time now.

Bobby Roode is a fantastic wrestler, has solid promo skills and has an interesting character. He has debuted as a face on Smackdown Live and is currently in a feud with Dolph Ziggler. Post Hell in a Cell, WWE will be smart to capitalise on Roode's popularity and get him in a match with Miz for Survivor Series.

Their match may not end up being a technical masterpiece, but these two are perfectly capable of working a solid match and giving the crowd their money's worth.

#1 Brock Lesnar vs Shinsuke Nakamura

A match for the ages

Picture this: Brock Lesnar, with his advocate Paul Heyman, in the ring at Survivor Series, demanding an opponent for the Universal Championship. Lights go down, Nakamura's music hits and the crowd goes berserk.

Lesnar is rumoured to be in the final few months of his WWE contract and still has a few dream matches left with a match against the "King of Strong Style" being among them. Nakamura has not set the world on fire in his main roster run up till now and a match against Lesnar could give him a huge recognition amongst the WWE Universe.

Lesnar and Nakamura have faced off before in NJPW and thus know each other well. This match could get the world talking and will lead to Nakamura becoming a huge household name.
