# 3 Never has a new Women’s Champion been crowned at MITB before
Going by previous trends, it appears as if MITB has always been lucky for the defending Women’s Champion. The Women’s title, previously known as the Diva’s Championship, was defended successfully on five occasions at MITB and not even once did a new Champion emerge.
The successful defenders include Paige, Aj Lee, Kelly Kelly, Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox. Yet another interesting thing that has to be noted here is that all the aforementioned matches were interesting and well-constructed PPV bouts.
Things hardly look different this year too as Charlotte looks settled in the role of the Champion and there is no immediate opponent for her. She could possibly take on Natalya or perhaps Becky Lynch for the Women’s title at MITB with Dana Brooke at her corner.
But will the tradition continue to exist at Nevada?
