Will Rollins find himself in the line of fire this week?

Since the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, a lot has happened in the WWE. Within this week, we have seen many surprises and unexpected things happen which have changed the course of the two main brands.

Mick Foley revealed the new 24/7 Championship, on Raw which has already switched hands thrice, and can be defended on all brands of WWE including NXT and NXT UK.

Apart from that, there is news that our new United States Champion is suffering from an injury which could result in him in possibly relinquishing his title.

The Money in the Bank briefcase winner has already threatened both Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins, and we will likely find out on Monday who will be the victim of The Beast’s wrath.

Similarly, Becky Lynch will also be looking for a new challenger for her Raw Women’s Championship after Lacey Evans failed to cash in on her big chance.

In this article, we will look at the 5 interesting and exciting things which can happen on the Raw and SmackDown episodes this week.

#5 Triple H & Randy Orton

Since we are heading to Saudi Arabia with WWE again, we are expecting to see some of the biggest clashes in WWE history take place once again to entertain the Saudi crowd, while new clashes will also emerge.

One of the main matches set for the event is between Triple H and Randy Orton. Just like we watched Batista and Triple H tear it down one last time at WrestleMania 35, and Triple H and The Undertaker do so last year, we will witness another great rivalry possibly reach its final chapter.

The match was unceremoniously scheduled on May 13, and a promo aired during the May 21 episode of SmackDown, recapping the two's various rivalries that originally began in 2004.

What’s been missing between the two men is some great promo build-up for the match. Triple H is one of the greatest talkers in WWE and did a great job building his previous two iconic matches. WWE should take advantage of this and use Orton and Triple H properly to build the match rather than just rely on videos.

This match has the potential to bring in a few more viewers for the event, and therefore WWE should not overlook it. Will we watch the legendary Triple H come out on Raw this week to deliver a warning to The Legend Killer? We hope to see the two Evolution teammates square off at least twice before the big match!

#4 Raw crowns a new 24/7 Champion

Who will take this title home next?
Who will take this title home next?

What’s the 24/7 Championship, you ask? It’s only the most ridiculous looking championship in WWE which has the potential of possibly increasing the ratings of the later part of the shows.

With Titus O’Neil becoming the inaugural 24/7 Champion, which was also his first and possibly his last single’s champion in WWE and subsequently losing it to Robert Roode a couple of minutes later, we now have R-Truth as the champion.

While the title seems like an innovation to help Raw’s ratings, we can expect R-Truth to lose it soon to a lower mid-carder on Raw this week. Will someone from the Raw mid-card such as EC3 or Erik manage to get their hands on the title so that they might get back into the public eye once again?

This will be the perfect move for such superstars as WWE is trying to create good content on social media for the title, which is keeping the Champion in the public’s mind.

#3 Like Father, Like Son

Will the weight of the championship fall on Dominick's shoulders?
Will the weight of the championship fall on Dominick's shoulders?

Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio met once again at the Money in the Bank with the United States Championship on the line last week.

Their first encounter for the championship saw Joe embarrass the future Hall of Famer in front of the WrestleMania crowd. On Sunday, Mysterio returned the favor and embarrassed Joe with an ordinary roll-up pin for the win and took home the United States Championship. This marked Mysterio’s first ever US Championship win., but he suffered an injury in the beating he received at the hands of Joe after the match.

In a self-recorded proclamation aired during Monday Night Raw, Joe said he is willing to “gift” Rey a chance to hand him back the title.

With WWE set to address the issue of the title on Raw this week, what if Rey Mysterio does something completely out of the blue and interesting to protect the title?

Will Mysterio relinquish the champion to his son Dominick to further infuriate Samoa Joe, and kickstart Dominick’s wrestling career?

#2 Becky Lynch vs ?

Who will step up to The Man next?
Who will step up to The Man next?

After defeating Lacey Evans at WWE Money in the Bank to retain her Raw Women’s Championship, Becky Lynch was not so successful in protecting her SmackDown Live Championship.

Now with only one belt in hand, WWE has actively moved the superstar from the SmackDown to the Raw roster. Becky Lynch bested The Lady of WWE in back-to-back tag team matches on Raw and SmackDown LIVE.

Even though that is the case, it seems like The Sassy Southern Belle will not back down as she is receiving an envious push at the hands of the WWE creatives which could see her become the champion sooner than later.

However, WWE will need to keep the ball rolling and have Lynch defend her title against someone on Raw to ensure that adequate chances are provided to all those in the roster similar to the time when Ronda Rousey was champion.

Will we witness Alexa Bliss come out to challenge The Man after last week’s tag team match? Or better still, will Sasha Banks make a return and try to win the championship to reach the same level as her friend Bayley?

#1 Lesnar destroys one champion, challenges another

Are we looking at the next Universal or WWE Champion?
Are we looking at the next Universal or WWE Champion?

Last Sunday, the Money in the Bank briefcase was hanging in the balance. Since the end of the pay-per-view, the fate of both the top titles in WWE is hanging in the balance instead.

The “Beast in the Bank” Brock Lesnar has been circling Universal Champion Seth Rollins and WWE Champion Kofi Kingston like a shark, and per Paul Heyman, “The Purveyor of Paranoia” will finally reveal which World Champion he will cash in on this Monday night on Raw. Even though that sounds convenient, it might not be so as Lesnar is as much a fan of destruction as any other heel in the WWE roster.

Expect Lesnar to come out on Raw this week and dismantle Kofi Kingston during a match, leaving the field open for a cash-in. Rather than cashing in on Kofi, Lesnar could challenge Seth Rollins to a match at the Super ShowDown for the title which Rollins took away from him at WrestleMania 35.

With these three superstars involved in the mix, it's almost impossible for the creatives to mess up this booking!
