So, we spoke about Finn Balor being injured on the previous page. In this point, let me discuss the man who replaced him and put on a great showing against Nakamura. This man was Ali, a man who had a backstage staredown with Nakamura not long ago.
A lot of people speculated shortly after the staredown that the SummerSlam match would be a singles contest between Ali and Shinsuke Nakamura for the prestigious Intercontinental Championship. I have a feeling from the way that things turned out that this may not really be the case. After all, Nakamura did pin him clean during the match.
I have a feeling that it could be a multi-man affair involving others like Apollo Crews in the mix as well, making things interesting. It does not make sense to show the same match that fans already saw at Smackville, at SummerSlam once again!
